Gigi is a parent-facing tool to support a child's healthy growth through nutrition, sleep, and movement. It is not medical advice and not a substitute for a pediatrician.

We never store your Google password or payment-card details. Payments are handled by Google Play (Android) and Stripe (web); Gigi never sees card numbers.
AI processing
When you use an AI feature, the minimal context above is sent to our backend, which calls the AI provider (Anthropic) to produce rough nutrition estimates and suggestions. We do not use your data to train models. Estimates are approximate and clearly labeled.
Your rights and controls
- Export: Settings → Export my data produces a single JSON file of children, measurements, daily logs, and account info.
- Delete: Settings → Delete account & all data permanently removes the on-device data and the server account (email + subscription + usage). An active web/Stripe subscription is cancelled automatically; an active Google Play subscription must be cancelled by you in the Play Store (the app reminds you).
- No account is required for the free tier (children, manual logging, trackers, food & exercise libraries, growth chart).
Children's data (COPPA / GDPR-K)
Gigi is designed to be operated by a parent or guardian about their own child. The app does not knowingly let a child create an account or make purchases. Growth references are from the World Health Organization (WHO). If you believe a child has provided data directly, contact us to delete it.
Retention
On-device data persists until you delete it or uninstall the app. Server data (account, subscription, usage) persists until you delete your account, after which it is purged.

Google Play Data Safety — summary
- Data collected: Personal info (email, name — only if signed in); health & fitness (child height/weight/nutrition logs — stored on device; the AI-relevant subset is transmitted when AI features are used); purchase history (via Play Billing).
- Data shared with third parties: AI provider (Anthropic) receives the minimal AI context (no names); payment processors (Google Play, Stripe). No data is sold; no ad SDKs.
- Encryption in transit: Yes (HTTPS/TLS).
- Data deletion: Yes — in-app Delete account & all data, plus this page as a deletion request contact.
- Families policy: Gigi's declared target audience is adults. It is a tool operated by a parent or guardian about their child, not an app designed for a child to use directly. No third-party ads or analytics SDKs that violate Families requirements ship in the release.
